Workspace
Based on your feedback, we have rebuilt the Workspace completely to make it simple for you to use. We have narrowed it down to a few basic tasks: Which Walls can be accessed? Who are involved? What have been discussed? In addition, the Settings tab let you remove yourself from the Workspace or adjust Workspace related settings (admin/owner only).

New inbox
We have added filter options to the inbox (on your “Home”) to make it easier to look-up old messages. In addition, the messages have a redesigned and cleaner look.

Share Note
The share function on Yellow Notes is back. You may share that particular note with anyone without revealing anything else on the wall. The invited person will be sent to a page that displays the yellow note only.

General design changes
We have made some adjustments to general user interface components to make them more appealing. This will have no effect on functionality but help understand the interfaces better and get the job done quicker. This includes button design, window design, yellow notes on wall design.

Mindmap
The Mindmap Sheet comes with improved user interaction and we have added the color-axis to add interoperability with other Sheets. The Mindmap Sheet is in addition re-sizable.

Symphonical on your smartphone
By visiting www.symphonical.com/m you reach the mobile version of Symphonical. It is currently in Beta and we will appreciate your feedback regarding bugs or improvements.

Other news

• A new option, Reuse wall structure, is added to the Wall’s Options. This will let you create a new wall with the exact same sheets and structures as the original. No notes, files or messages are copied over. This is now the quickest way to get started with a repetitive task whether it is a meeting structure or a task-tracking structure.
• If your session is lost, you may log in where you are without loosing any data.
• The menu above the wall, will let you create new walls and navigate to other sibling walls.
• Instructions on a Wall’s Sheet is now displayed to everyone. This will ensure that the instructions are seen as soon as the Sheet is loaded.

Prioritering av innhold er noe av det vanskligste når det kommer til design. Ikke fordi det er vansklig å gi noe en høy prioritet, men fordi det er vansklig å si at noe ikke er viktig. Mye tid går bort til nettop dette. Hadde jeg gått med på at alt var viktig ville nok antall diskusjoner internt blitt redusert en god del, men brukeropplevelsen hadde blitt håpløs. Prinsippet om “kill your darlings” er vansklig, men det er utrolig viktig å kunne se objektivt på sine idéer og gi slipp på dem om de ikke tilfører god nok nytteverdi eller brukervennlighet til brukeren. Min holdning til prioritering av innhold er slik; Ikke noe er viktig nok intill det motsatte er bevist.

Som du kan se her, er meldingene plassert til venstre siden dette er det som er viktig her, og filtreringsmuligheter er plassert til høyre siden dette ikke er like viktig. Vi hadde mange runder på hva som var viktig nok til å komme med her, og dette var det vi endte opp med. Når det er sagt er det mange idéer vi har hatt rundt inboxen som ikke har kommet med nettopp fordi de ikke var viktige nok. Det å lage skissen tok meg og min kollega Lasse 20 min, men det å komme frem til hva som var viktig tok dager.

Det var egentlig mest naturlig å plassere filtermulighetene til venstre slik de fleste epostklienter gjør det, men når vi så på prioriteringen vi hadde satt opp var det veldig tydlig at meldingene måtte plasseres først.
